Powers of Attorney
You should consider giving someone the power to perform certain duties on your behalf if you are unable to do so. A Power of Attorney is particularly useful when you get older and might suffer from dementia and need someone to attend to your financial and legal affairs. The POA document allows you to appoint one or more people to act for you in legal and financial matters. This could be your spouse, child, friend or carer. You must think carefully about who to appoint and whether they are willing and able to do the work.
